Greg Kelly Set for Friday Return to Good Day New York

Less than 24 hours after the Manhattan District Attorney cleared him of all rape allegations, WNYW/Channel 5 morning co-anchor Greg Kelly is set to resume his broadcasting career. The Daily News reports Kelly met with station management at 4 p.m. today, and a spokeswoman confirmed to FishbowlNY that he agreed to return this Friday on Good Day New York opposite Rosanna Scotto.

Kelly has been off Good Day since January 26, when a woman’s accusation of rape plastered print and broadcast outlets alike.

Kelly has been teamed with Scotto on the Channel 5 morning newscast since 2008.

In a statement yesterday,  Kelly thanked friends and family for their support during the ordeal, and singled out Scotto for standing by her on-air husband.

Scotto summed up her feeling in a tweet today, “It is a GOOD day NY!”
