GREE reveals first details about new global mobile-social gaming network
GREE is finally starting to release concrete details about its upcoming international mobile-social gaming network, revealing the as-yet-unnamed platform’s launch partners.
The lineup of companies, which includes names like Amazon Data Services Japan and Microsoft Japan, will be providing support services for developers on the platform, helping with issues like localization, server side infrastructure, debugging and user support.
Unlike DeNA, which launched Mobage in the west with developers like The Playforge, TinyCo, NimbleBit and Gameview , it appears GREE is planning to bring a selection of its Japanese games to an international audience and will be providing extensive support to help the games make the transition.
