The New York Mets will be back next year. Grantland, not so much.
In happier ESPN offshoot times, during what the site billed as “Errol Morris Week,” Grantland shared a series of shorts that included this great 16-minute profile by the Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker of A.J. Mass, who filled the Mr. Met mascot suit from 1994 to 1997. It was one of our favorite bits of Web video of the year.
The above was easier to take than another 2015 convergence of Grantland and the Mets.
