As if we need another excuse to listen to music and watch videos on our iPhones, GoTV Networks, one of the pioneering mobile TV services, has made its music applications available for the iPhone 3G. The various music magazine style offerings include on-demand video streams of artist interviews, news, reviews and music videos as well as weekly charts.
Now, for 99 cents each, iPhone users can download the apps that best meet their musical tastes. The premier channels include Hip Hop Official, ES Musica, Rock On: Altitude and True Country.
GoTV’s various services are already available on numerous handsets through AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Alltel, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile and Cricket. However, GoTV CEO Thomas Ellsworth said in a statement that “launching our premier music channels with integrated advertising for the 3G iPhone through Apple’s iPhone Application Store is a strategic milestone for GoTV.”
