SpeedDate.com, the first speed dating Web site, has come out with an iPhone version of its service. This means that tech-savvy singles can download the free app and check out each others’ profiles from just about anywhere – even sneakily while on a boring blind date set up by a friend.
Folks on the prowl for that someone special log on to their account from their iPhone, view potential matches and send and receive messages, including application-generated “flirt messages.”
Going on a virtual SpeedDate, which involves a three-minute live video or IM date, still requires a computer.
The iPhone app is fully integrated with the SpeedDate.com Web site, so members with an iPhone have full access to their profile, matches and buddies. Newbies to the service can sign up from their phone with a 60-second process and begin perusing the profiles of SpeedDate.com’s millions of members.
