Google Waves Goodbye To Wave… And 6 Other Services

Back in September Google announced that they were on the verge of "shutting down a number of products and merging others into existing products as features." They said goodbye to Aardvark, Fast Flip, the Google Maps API for Flash, Notebook and other features. Earlier this month they said goodbye to Code Search, Jaiku and more. Now they’ve added seven more features to their sweep, including Google Wave. Read on to find out more.

On the Official Google Blog, Senior Vice President of Operations and Google Fellow Urs Hölzle writes, “We’re in the process of shutting a number of products which haven’t had the impact we’d hoped for, integrating others as features into our broader product efforts, and ending several which have shown us a different path forward.”

Here are the features that have most recently been affected:

Google Bookmark Lists – Bookmark lists will end on December 19, 2011.
