Google Search Continues to Rule the Planet

Google accounted for–get this–65.1 percent of all U.S. searches in the four weeks ending December 1, according to Hitwise and relayed by MediaPost’s Online Media Daily list. Depending on the report you read, that’s either a 3.6 percent or 7 percent jump from October.

Yahoo Search, MSN Search and Ask.com each received 21.21%, 7.09% and 4.63%, respectively. The remaining 46 search engines in the Hitwise Search Engine Analysis Tool accounted for 1.96% of U.S. searches. Anyone remember AOL, Lycos, Excite, or Altavista? Neither do we.
