Google Rolls Out New 'Compose' and 'Reply' Tools for Gmail
Gmail today released its new pop-out windows for composing and replying to emails to all users. The new windows are bigger than a chat box, but small enough to leave the rest of the screen open for multi-taskers to reference old emails or watch for new ones to arrive while they work.

The new windows are bigger than a chat box, but small enough to leave the rest of the screen open for multi-taskers to reference old emails or watch for new ones to arrive while they work.
Tested in beta in October 2012, the finalized version will roll out to all Gmail customers in the next few days, the company said.
