NEW YORK Google, Travelocity and Time Out New York are among the media players that have partnered with New York City to help launch nycgo.com, a tourism-centric site that went live on Jan. 21.
Nycgo.com is a product of NYC & Company, the city’s tourism and marketing-oriented nonprofit group.
The new information/service-oriented site s features both Google Maps and Google Earth applications designed to help users navigate New York, as well as a vacation planning and travel booking hub powered by Travelocity.
As for content, nycgo.com offers daily listings of events and attractions. Other content partners include Paper magazine, the New York Observer and the eco-conscious consumer guide Greenopia.
The site was launched in conjunction with the unveiling of a new tourist-geared venue in midtown Manhattan — the Official NYC Information Center.
