Google & Nestle Partner on Android KitKat Operating System

Google has released its new operating system this week and the latest version has been named after the Nestle candy KitKat.

The new name follows a history of names after desserts including: Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, and Jelly Bean. But this is the first time that it involved a corporate partnership. As part of the partnership, Nestle has released more than 50 million KitKat bars with Android-branded packaging in 19 countries including Australia, Brazil, Germany, India, Japan, Dubai, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
