One antique car hobbyist has learned that he can find almost anything he wants to know about old cars from Google Books.
Bob Ferry is a machinist who runs his own shop which builds industrial machinery. He’s always dreamed of building a turn of the century car, and Google Books helped him realize that dream.
He didn’t get the complete plans from gBooks, but he did find most of the finishing details in pictures, diagrams and descriptions he found in old issues of Popular Mechanics, Popular Science, and others. He eventually built up a collection of over 100 issues, all from out of print magazines.
