If you can type really fast and you’re also psychic then Google wants you.  Yep!  They’ve announced this morning, April 1 (wink wink), that they are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping others, to return autocomplete results to searchers at the speed of light.  Think you’re qualified?  Find out more below.

If you head over to Google and start searching for anything today you’ll notice a link in the autocomplete box that says, “We are hiring Autocompleters!”  If you click on the link it takes you to an entry on the Google Jobs board for an Autocompleter in Mountain View.  “Every day people start typing more than a billion searches on Google and expect Google to predict what they are looking for.  In order to do this at scale, we need your help.”

If you’ve got excellent knowledge of English and at least one other language, are a master of grammar, have a certificate in psychic reading and are willing “to travel or relocate to obscure places like Nauru and Tuvalu to develop knowledge of local news and trends” then this could be the job for you!  Find out more about the position below from Michal Taylor, who has been a Google Autocompleter for a couple of years now.  The video is already taking off, and April 1 has only just begun!

Touché, Google!  This just may be your best prank yet!
