Google Alerts Adds Support for Google Books

Google has added a new and fun little extra bit of code to Google Alerts. You can now use Google Alerts to search just for eBooks in Google Books.

So what is a Google Alert? It’s a small and automated part of Google Search that you can program to search on a particular topic and bring you the results. BTW, you always could have used Google Alerts to stay updated on new titles in the Google Books. It just required more work before.

Setting up the new alert is fairly simple. Go to Google Alerts, type in the title or author you are interested in and choose “Books” from the Type drop-down button, and create. After you create the alert you will receive either daily emails when new results are found or you can elect to receive an immediate email for each new result.
