Good Shakes Up Editorial Staff

Good magazine strengthened their edit team today with the promotion of three veteran staffers and the addition of two new editors.  Editor-in-chief Zach Frechette announced the moves and is confident the changes will bolster the title’s value for readers:

These additions to the team represent our first significant investment in the editorial product in a number of years.  With new voices helping us add depth in key content areas, the goal is to transition from a well-curated selection of the most interesting people and ideas moving the world forward to a vital resource for those people that helps them achieve their goals.

Allison Arieff has been named editor-at-large, she currently contributes for the New York Times‘ Opinionator blog and previously served as editor-in-chief of Dwell.

Nicola Twilley is now food editor for Good.  She manages the blog, Edible Geography and has had her work published in The Atlantic, Volume, Dwell, Wired UK, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Ominbus.

Cord Jefferson is the magazine’s new culture editor.  He has written for National Geographic, The Huffington Post, and The Root.

After writing a weekly column for Good titled ‘The New Ideal,” Ben Jervey has been promoted to environment editor.

Liz Dwyer has been tapped for the education editor role.  She has 15 years of teaching experience and contributed to Good Housekeeping and Parenting.
