Glam Media has named Erin Matts as the company’s svp and chief digital marketing officer. Matts had previously served as global director of digital connections at Anheuser-Busch InBev. Prior to that role, she served as chief digital officer at OMD.
At OMD Matts headed the agency’s U.S. digital media business and worked on Dorito’s “Crash the Super Bowl” campaign that won an Effie and Cannes Gold Lion. She also worked with Pepsi, Clorox, Frito-Lay and Levi’s.
“Erin’s deep knowledge of major brands and advertising agencies is a massive benefit for Glam,” said Samir Arora, Glam Media chairman and CEO, in a statement. “Her commitment to driving innovation and championing unique solutions for brands to build deeply engaging relationships with consumers through social platforms and rich medic content will play a crucial role as we continue to build Glam’s future.”
Last week Glam launched Foodie.com, a site dedicated consumers interested in food and cooking. The site is somewhat of a mashup between content hub and social network with users able to upload and share content such as recipes, as launch advertiser Betty Crocker has done.
