Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) is pimping (er, promoting) his daughter, Jackie Cushman’s, column today on Townhall.com.
Gingrich tweets: “My daughter Jackie Cushman writes an excellent column today on Michael Steele’s latest book, Right Now.” He’s referring to Steele’s RightNow: A 12-Step Program for Defeating the Obama Agenda.
Cushman tackles the topic in a self help-y tone, saying, it’s OK to admit your mistakes.
An excerpt of her most recent mistake: “This morning, our children went back to school after two weeks off. The goal we set at dinner last night was for them to leave at 7:20 this morning.
“When I woke up at 7:05 this morning, I knew I had made a mistake. No alarm. My husband began breakfast while I woke up the children. They asked me what happened, and I acknowledged and owned the mistake (I had forgotten to set the alarm). No one became upset, and we addressed it by working together and readjusting out schedule.”
(Jackie, Jimmy and the kids live in Atlanta.)
