Gilt Groupe CMO David Zucker Out After Seven Months

Co-founder Alexis Maybank to take over role

David Zucker, chief marketing officer at luxury online retailer Gilt Groupe, is leaving his current position and will be replaced by company co-founder Alexis Maybank. He will have no further role at the company, according to Jennifer Miller, Gilt’s vice president of corporate communications, who confirmed the news.

Zucker, who had been splitting his time between Gilt’s offices in New York and his family home in Austin, Texas, joined the company in November 2009 as vice president of customer marketing and was promoted to CMO in December 2010.
