Last week, Apple made some updates for publishers that use the iTunes Connect platform to publish eBooks in the iBookstore platform. The updates make the iBookstore more like iTunes, as publishers can now issue up to 50 promo codes to distribute to reviews, and they can also upload screenshots for the book at 1024 x 768 resolution.
TUAW has more: “The iBookstore has altered the way it handles pre-orders for content. Now publishers are able to make content available for pre-order without submitting a book cover or any other assets until up to two weeks prior to publication. Covers, book assets, and custom previews must be submitted two weeks prior to publication.”
