Geena Davis and Girl Scouts Want Positive Media Images of Women

Actress Geena Davis, former FCC Commissioner Debi Tate, and the Girl Scouts are launching a commission to push for healthier media images of women and girls.

Members of the commission include Katherine Schwarzenegger, daughter of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, Emme, the model, Nancy Snyderman, NBC Chief Medical Editor, and Ann Shoket, Editor-in-Chief of Seventeen Magazine. The National Cable and Telecommunications Assoc. and The Creative Coalition are also backing the effort.

A presser will be held next Wednesday at 2 p.m.
