Gawker's John Cook Leaves for First Look Media
John Cook, editor of Gawker, is leaving the site to join Pierre Omidyar’s First Look Media. Recode reports that Max Read will succeed Cook.
Other First Look hires include The Guardian’s Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi, formerly of Rolling Stone.
Cook had been with Gawker since 2009.
