NEW YORK Gannett is formally grouping its Web sites and forming an advertising network to be known as the Digital Media Network, representing more than 100 digital communities including USAToday.com and the Web sites of its broadcast properties.
“The Gannett Digital Media Network gives marketers access to diverse and attractive audience segments through our unparalleled combination of national and local media sites,” Josh Resnik, vice president and general manager of the Gannett Digital Media Network, said in a statement. “We can combine the broad reach of our network with the engagement and affinity found on local sites to help marketers effectively reach their target customers.”
Several community sites like MomsLikeMe.com and HighSchoolSports.com are also part of the venture. Gannett will leverage PointRoll, ShopLocal and Ripple6 as part of the network.
