Game of Thrones Dominated TV Shows on Facebook and Twitter in 2017

Nielsen reported that the HBO drama averaged 2.566 million interactions per episode

Game of Thrones on HBO and HBO Latino was the top-ranked television program of 2017 in terms of total interactions per episode across Facebook and Twitter, according to Nielsen.

The second-to-last season of the hit drama averaged 2.566 million interactions across the two social networks for each of its seven episodes, nearly tripling the total of the second-place finisher on the list, AMC’s The Walking Dead, at 870,000.

The top 10 shows for the year, ranked by average interactions across Facebook and Twitter per episode, were:
