Fusion and First Look Media Partner on Documentary Series on the 2016 Primaries

Take a stroll down primary elections lane.

We’ve entered the final, post-Labor Day leg of the elections, but Fusion and First Look Media are taking a look back at what the 2016 elections have wrought with a six-part documentary series.

Called, simply, Primaries, the series is directed by AJ Schnack, director of other one-word-title political docs like Midterms, Caucus, Convention, as well as NomiNation, a web series on the 2016 elections produced in partnership with Vanity Fair.

“Our goal is to shine a light on the aspects of a story that might get lost in everyday media coverage–with access to voices that offer unconventional context for viewers,” said Fusion svp of content and programming Keith Summa in a release. Those voices include Boston Globe political reporter James Pindell, Los Angeles Times political writer Seema Mehta, and NPR national political correspondent Don Gonyea, as well as Alice Stewart, Ted Cruz‘s communications director.

The first episode of Primaries premieres on Fusion Sept. 25. Consider it your election season recap to get you in the mood for the next day’s presidential primary debate.
