From $3.7M To $180,000 To $0: Court Reverses Ex-ABC Newser's War Zone Claim

He had originally sought $3.7 million and stood to get $180,000, but now former ABC Newser Richard Gilbert, who claimed ABC News fired him because he refused to go to a war zone, is getting nothing. An appellate “tribunal” in London has reversed an earlier decision, saying Gilbert “was under no obligation, contractual or otherwise, to visit war zones.” ABC says it has a long-standing policy “that all assignments to war zones and other dangerous places are completely voluntary.”
