Friction Sparks Between Politico and WaPo

There’s a new tension in the already heavily competitive air between Politico and WaPo these days. Powerjobs, the new website for Washington’s talent and employers, launched today, featuring more than 1,400 jobs from some of the region’s influential organizations, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AARP.

The new site, created by Politico and run out of their offices,  is also powered by ABC7/WJLA-TV, News Channel 8, Federal News Radio and WTOP Radio. It’s led by Managing Director Beth Dwyer, whose team is comprised of recruitment veterans with more than 25 years of combined experience in the field — including at WaPo, onTargetjobs, Yahoo’s HotJobs, Science magazine, Roll Call and The Baltimore Sun.
