Frank Gehry Lands the Serpentine Pavilion

We can imagine the scene now. Koolhaas and Hadid are sitting around at a party, having a couple of beers, looking across the room at the lonely guy in the corner. “Poor guy,” one of them says, “he’s the only guy here who hasn’t built a Serpentine Gallery Pavilion.” That guy, of course, is Frank Gehry. But his luck has changed, as it’s been announced that he’s been awarded the project for 2008, meaning London is in store for some wavy metal this summer.
