Four More Years For The Sports Guy
Bill Simmons, better known to his legions of fans as The Sports Guy, signed a contract with ESPN that will keep him at the Worldwide Leader through 2010.
Aside from writing his column on ESPN.com and for ESPN The Magazine, Simmons will also help develop programming for ESPN Original Entertainment, saying it’s “crazy that we’ve conceded sports documentaries to HBO.”
The retention of its most popular columnist, whom some thought would split to SI.com, is huge for ESPN.com.
