Former Coburn Staffer and Investigative Journo, Justin Rood, Joins POGO
Award-winning investigative journalist and former investigator for Senator Tom Coburn’s office, Justin Rood, is joining the independent watchdogs over at the Project on Government Oversight (POGO) to lead a new congressional oversight initiative.
“POGO has been helping improve oversight and improve government for over three decades, I’m excited to join the team,” Rood told Fishbowl DC.
POGO’s Executive Director Danielle Brian announced the hiring news today–and said the organization will be releasing more details about the new project in the coming weeks.
Rood, who previously served as director of investigations on Homeland Security issues for Coburn (R-OK), as well as an investigative reporter for ABC News and Talking Points Memo, among other outlets, will be at the helm of the new initiative.
