Forbes.com CEO Spanfeller Out

Forbes.com president and CEO Jim Spanfeller is leaving his post after nine years to start his own media-management firm, according to an internal memo obtained by All Things Digital.

According to the memo, Spanfeller will remain with Forbes.com until Labor Day. A source told Daily Finance, “I would not be surprised if his replacement is someone from outside.”

Spanfeller said in the memo:

The world of media has changed rapidly in the past 10 years, and the velocity of the change promises only to increase going forward.
