Forget the Super Bowl, or the world economic crisis. There is at least one other big news story today: eight time gold medal winning swimmer Michael Phelps took a bong hit.
But, it wasn’t just any bong hit. The brand label “Roor” was clearly visible in photos taken of Phelps. So, what is the company doing to cash in on this valuable endorsement? Nothing, as of now. Missed opportunity? We think so.
Meanwhile, it’s too early to see if Phelp’s actions will cost him sponspors. So far Swiss watchmaker Omega and Speedo have stood by him.
