The New York Times is reporting that Conde Nast will create Apple iPad tablet editions of Wired, GQ, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, and Glamour.
The Times report says that GQ will be the first of those magazines to release a tablet edition for April, and the others will follow toward the beginning of summer. GQ already has an iPhone edition, and Wired is teaming up with Adobe to create a tablet-friendly edition of its magazine.
Conde Nast plans to sell the magazines in Apple’s iTunes store. Depending on the performance of the five magazines currently being mooted for iPad syndication, more may become available in the fall, the Times report said.
Earlier this year, <a href="http://www.mediabistro.com/The-New-York-Times-profile.html"The New York Times unveiled its own iPad app. Time Inc. has also been flirting with tablet technology, specifically for Sports Illustrated.
