Firaxis Games and 2K have today announced Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies for PC and iOS devices. The game is the sequel to the original Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol, and is set to take players to the Pacific Ocean theater of World War II.
In Pacific Skies, players will take command of a variety of American and Japanese fighter planes, as they complete missions that include historical battles like Pearl Harbor, Midway and Guadalcanal.
Players can personalize and grow their own virtual fighter pilot, and will be able to unlock a variety of upgrades, skill sets and flying maneuvers as they progress through the game.
The game is being developed exclusive for PC and iOS devices. While its price hasn’t been revealed, we do know that the app will be a premium download, and will be compatible with iPad 2+, iPod Touch 4+ and iPhone 4S and up. Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies will come to PC and iOS this fall.
