Fever raises $3 million in seed funding for event discovery app

Event discovery platform Fever has officially launched for iPhone and Android users throughout New York City, after a six-month test launch throughout Madrid, Spain. Fever has also announced it has raised $3 million in seed funding for the expansion of its platform, which helps users find local events in a social experience.

When opening Fever, users are asked to choose their top three interests to build their profile. Going forward, the app generates a list of suggested events, based on the user’s previous activity within the Fever app, or how they’ve interacted with other members of the app’s community.

When users find an event they’d like to attend, tickets can be purchased with a user’s credit card, or an RSVP can be filed to hold tickets until a later time.
