February Snow Brings Blizzard of Page Views to AccuWeather.com

Snowboken.jpgAs the snow fell on much of the United States throughout the month of February, records fell, as well, for AccuWeather.com, which said 13 of its top 16 all-time days in terms of page views occurred during the month, adding that its February total of more than 400 million page views was up 60 million from its previous record, set in January.

Feb. 10, in particular, brought a blizzard of traffic to AccuWeather.com, as the site reported more than 21.5 million page views, as well as a total of nearly 50 million for its supported applets, widgets, and gadgets, and nearly 6 million for AccuWeather.com Mobile.

AccuWeather.com senior vice president of new media Jim Candor said:

For nearly 48 years, AccuWeather has been a name people trust for severe weather forecasting. We’re very proud of our continued growth in traffic, which has been well above Internet-wide and weather category-specific traffic-growth averages for the past several years. We continue to innovate and offer new and better forecast content, as we are doing this week with the new AccuWeather.com Website. Our growing audience rewards us by coming back again and again.
