Facebook was among the more than 100 Internet companies that sent a letter to the Federal Communications Commission, urging it to reconsider the two-tiered Internet rules it is set to officially propose May 15.
According to press reports and FCC briefings, the commission intends to authorize Internet-service providers to create a two-tiered Internet, slow and faster, and to charge Web companies for access to the faster tier.
The letter, also embedded below, reads:
