When Facebook announced its FbStart program to provide developers of mobile applications with up to $30,000 worth of free tools and services at its F8 global developer conference in San Francisco last month, registration was immediately opened to F8 attendees. The social network announced Wednesday that registration is now open to all developers with apps that have been live at least 30 days.
Two new partners were also added to FbStart, Transifex and HootSuite, joining originally announced partners Adobe, Appurify, Asana, BlueJeans, Desk.com, MailChimp, Proto.io, Quip, SurveyMonkey, UserTesting, and Workable.
FbStart offers two tracks: Bootstrap, for developers that are just getting started; and Accelerate, for those that are already up and running, and eyeing growth.
Facebook announced the opening of FbStart registration in a post on its developer blog, adding:
In addition, FbStart will offer events, programs, and best practices for participating developers, with the expectation of year-round opportunities to engage with the Facebook team. By providing mobile app developers with the essential services you need to get your business up and running — or to take it to the next stage of growth — we’re hoping to help expand the overall app ecosystem.
Any developer around the world with a public iOS or Android app is eligible to apply for FbStart today — just fill out a simple form to tell us a little about your app, and we’ll respond within a few weeks. To learn more and start your application now, go to fb.me/start.
