Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff Sees ‘Ghostbusters’ Update for Halloween

Family Guy GhostbustersTinyCo, Fox Digital Entertainment and Sony Pictures have today announced a new content update for Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff on mobile devices. The update brings Ghostbusters-themed quests and content to the game, in celebration of both the 30th anniversary of the film, and Halloween. In this event, players will complete quests with their favorite characters from the show in an effort to save the world from unwanted visitors.

This event begins as Peter inadvertently opens a dark portal in the Quahog cemetery, unleashing ghosts and goblins on the city. The town’s citizens react by forming their own team of ghostbusters. Users can employ this team to attack the evil invaders for Soul Points and crafting materials.

The game’s new crafting system sees users being encouraged to collect enough resources to combine them in a cauldron, receiving new characters, buildings and decorations in the process. This event will offer a “choose your own adventure” style of play to users, who can take different paths to reach the final goal of saving Quahog from the undead.

“I’ve been a Ghostbusters fan since I was a kid, so it’s awesome to work with such an incredible franchise,” said Andrew N. Green, head of business development and operations at TinyCo, in a statement. “Beyond that, these types of events allow us to continue delivering new and fun ways to play The Quest for Stuff.”

Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. The Ghostbusters update is scheduled to run from October 2 to November 5.
