Now, as the platform has grown and expanded over the years, Facebook decided to grow the conference into a two-day happening.
Facebook explained the decision to sister site AllFacebook:
Facebook’s developer community is bigger today than it ever has been. The scope of the company’s products has broadened, and there’s more content to share than can fit into a single day. The additional day means double the number of technical sessions, product demos and onsite experiences for Facebook’s growing developer community.
Facebook announced the expansion on a developers blog post:
F8 is coming to San Francisco on March 25 through 26, 2015. F8 is Facebook’s global developer conference where we invite the technical community to join us for two full days of sessions, workshops, product demos, and 1:1 time with Facebook’s product experts.
