Jarden Consumer Solutions tapped user-generated-advertising provider Zooppa to help promote the Margaritaville Cargo Mixed Drink Maker with a customized version of the vendor’s Facebook application for contests.

Contestants can upload videos lasting 30 to 60 seconds and featuring their picks for ultimate party host displaying their prowess with the necessary gear for a successful party, including the Margaritaville Cargo Mixed Drink Maker.

Party animals can also view entered videos, share them, comment on them, and vote for their favorites, all via Facebook. Last call for entries is November 7.

Jarden marks the first user of the Zooppa Facebook App, which can be installed on brand pages as a tab.

The company hopes to draw the attention of the 22,400-plus fans of the Margaritaville Cargo Facebook page, as well as the Zooppa community, which numbers more than 125,000 members.

The contest is the first phase of the campaign, which will advance to stage two with the launch of a social game November 8.

Zooppa has worked with global brands including Samsung, AT&T, Nike, and Google, as well as agencies including BBDO, MindShare, and Razorfish.
