Facebook commerce provider Payvment is taking advantage of the new Twitter homepage and mobile design with its release of a mobile application that integrates the social network and the ecommerce platform.
The app allows users to click on tweets from Payvment and purchase the featured items, add them to wish lists, or share the fact that they already own the items.
Payvment said 43 percent of Twitter users access the service via mobile devices, which spurred it to integrate with the social network’s new mobile platform. Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Christian Taylor added:
Social commerce is all about driving product discovery, so it’s essential for shoppers to be able to stay close to the products, sellers, and brands they care about through all their social touch points, including mobile. We’ve made it faster and simpler for shoppers to find, purchase, and share products while they’re surfing their Twitter stream on mobile, which we know will dramatically grow the reach and engagement for our sellers and their products.
Readers, could you see yourself buying anything via Twitter?
