Facebook and the Poynter Institute Teamed Up on the Facebook for Journalists Certificate

The three courses focus on making it easier for journalists to incorporate Facebook and Instagram into their work

Facebook and the Poynter Institute teamed up to create three-course curriculum the Facebook for Journalists Certificate.

The three courses focus on making it easier for journalists to incorporate Facebook and Instagram into their work, including newsgathering, storytelling and engaging with followers, and they include product knowledge from the social network, case studies, and tips from Facebook with journalistic guidance from Poynter.

Journalists who pass Poynter’s written assessment will receive a certificate of completion, recognized by both Facebook and Poynter, from the social network’s Facebook Blueprint e-learning initiative.

Jennifer Jenkins and Áine Kerr, who work on journalism partnerships for Facebook, said in a Facebook Media blog post:
