Facebook showed off an improved version of its Insights analytics dashboard at its f8 developer conference, that includes more granular ways to view traffic to Pages, applications and other web sites. While this version has been live for some users since the the conference, it is now officially live.
The highlights, briefly (see our in-depth look from April, for more). Facebook folded together existing Insights services for Pages and apps, and added the domain tracking service so people can see the new social plugins. It revealed much more data than previous versions, like referral traffic to an app from from ads. And, it provided new graphs to make it easier for people to analyze trends in their traffic. It also, as before, is allowing developers to programmatically access far more information through its platform — meaning developers can do full analysis on their own, or with the use of third-party software.
