How Facebook Is Stepping Up for Victims of Hurricanes Maria and Irma

Facebook pledged to match up to $1 million in donations to Save the Children

The Caribbean and the Southeastern U.S. continue to face the wrath of hurricane after hurricane, and Facebook continues to help.

Just as it did with Hurricane Harvey at the end of August, Facebook pledged to match up to $1 million in donations to Save the Children to support relief efforts for victims of Hurricanes Maria and Irma.

Donations made through the Save the Children Facebook page or posts on users’ News Feeds count toward the total, and all fees are being waived on those donations.

Save the Children is providing shelter, food, water and other short-term needs to victims across the Caribbean, as well as long-term support.
