Facebook Hires Time Warner Top Ad Creative D'Arcy

Time Warner Global Media Group's President and Chief Creative Officer Mark D'Arcy will join Facebook as director of global creative solutions in the beginning of May.

Time Warner Global Media Group’s President and Chief Creative Officer Mark D’Arcy will join Facebook as director of global creative solutions in the beginning of May.

D’Arcy will oversee a team in New York that develops creative ideas for advertisers, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Originally from New Zealand, D’Arcy functioned in that capacity at Time Warner, which he joined in 2004. He previously had 15 years of experience as a writer and creative director in advertising.

Time Warner’s biography of the departing executive described him as leading a group whose “innovative work has gained widespread attention from both the creative and media communities alike… D’Arcy has been recognized for his creativity and received the 2010 KEA award for his leadership in creative industries.He
