U.S. soccer star Alex Morgan has gained plenty of male attention on Facebook following the team’s run to the Women’s World Cup final. Her Facebook page has more than 180,000 fans as of this writing. Many are showing support following the penalty shootout loss to Japan in Sunday’s final, but some are just inquiring men.
You’re so hot.
When am I getting your number?
Marry me , Alex Morgan! *gets down on one knee!*
I want to make babies with you. Lots of babies.
There are even some YouTube proposals for Morgan posted on the page.
Sorry to burst your bubble, guys. The 22-year-old Morgan of Diamond Bar, Calif. is in a long-term relationship with Major League Soccer player Servando Carrasco. They have been dating about four years after meeting at the University of California.
Carrasco was born in Mexico and plays for the Seattle Sounders. He has reportedly been on the receiving end of some lighthearted scorn from disappointed bachelors, but he laughs it off.
On a recent trip to Los Angeles, the Sounders bus passed by a billboard photo of Morgan outside of a Sports Authority on the way to their hotel. They took a team picture in front of it and Carrasco said it was all in good fun.
Morgan will now go back her normal life with some extra attention as a member of the Western New York Flash of Women’s Professional Soccer. She and the rest of the national team have their sights set on the Olympics.
Readers, do you follow women’s soccer on Facebook?
