Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg Nominated to Disney Board
The Magic Kingdom will get a touch of social networking as Disney nominated Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg as an independent director.
Sandberg has been COO at the social-networking site since March 2008, overseeing global operations and managing sales, marketing, business development, human resources, public policy, privacy and communications. Prior to Facebook, she served as vice president of global online sales and operations at Google. She has also served as chief of staff for the United States Treasury Department, a management consultant with McKinsey & Co.
