Will Facebook Users Soon Be Able to Comment with GIFs?

GIFs came to Facebook Messenger in 2015

Facebook users may soon see a bit more movement within threads of comments.

The social network confirmed to Josh Constine and Ryan Lawler of TechCrunch that it will begin testing a GIF button in comments next week, enabling users who are part of the test group to post GIF files from third-party sites such as Giphy and Tenor as comments.

Facebook issued the following statement to Constine and Lawler:

Everyone loves a good GIF, and we know that people want to be able to use them in comments.
