Brands Tapping Facebook Collection Ads Now Have More Flexibility

Facebook lowered the number of required products in Collection ads to four from eight

Facebook last week announced some changes in the creation process for its Collection ads.

The social network said in a Facebook Business blog post that brands can now manually add products from their catalogs when creating Collection ads, in addition to the previously available option of having Facebook automatically pull products. This new option gives businesses more flexibility over the order and color variations of the products that are displayed in the ads.

Facebook also lowered the number of required products in Collection ads to four from eight, saying that it will allow brands to “curate ads that make the most sense for them.”

Finally, the lifestyle Canvas template for Collection ads, which Facebook announced in September, is now available to all advertisers with catalogs on the social network.
