REPORT: Facebook at Work Website Closer to Launch; Personal Timelines to Be Kept Separate
More details have emerged on the Facebook at Work project initially reported in June by Ingrid Lunden of TechCrunch, as Hannah Kuchler of Financial Times reported Sunday that the new site will contain much of the same functionality as Facebook, but it will keep personal Timelines separate from work profiles.
More details have emerged on the Facebook at Work project initially reported in June by Ingrid Lunden of TechCrunch, as Hannah Kuchler of Financial Times reported Sunday that the new site will contain much of the same functionality as Facebook, but it will keep personal Timelines separate from work profiles.
Both Lunden and Kuchler reported that the project is being worked on in Facebook’s London office, and Lunden said in June that it was unclear whether what she called FB@Work at the time would be an internal enterprise communications platform, or something more along the lines of LinkedIn, adding that it was also unclear whether the company had any hopes of monetizing FB@Work, or whether it would simply be offered as a set of free tools.
