Exec Shakeup Comes to Hearst Titles

After a shakeup at O, The Oprah Magazine earlier this week, another Hearst title, Country Living, announced high-level changes.

Hearst today named ex-Cooking Light publisher Chris Allen as vp, publisher of the 1.6-million circ Country Living. He replaces Steve Grune, who was given an unspecified position in the company’s integrated media division.

Grune had been at the title nine years. Considered by Hearst to be one of its flagships, Country Living has suffered along with the rest of the shelter category, but still outperformed most of its peers.
